Batavia belongs firmly in the latter category.

One of our most enduring blends amongst our wholesale partners, Batavia was never created to chase trends. Instead, it was designed around a simple idea: deliver a coffee that is comforting, dependable, and delicious, cup after cup.

Bringing together Brazil Maritaca and Papua New Guinea's Korofeigu Organic, this blend combines the familiar sweetness and body of Brazilian coffee with the gentle fruit character and depth that PNG coffees are known for.

Roasted with a slightly longer development to maximise sweetness and balance, Batavia is bold without being overly dark. Expect notes of dried raisin, baker's cocoa, chocolate malt, and butter pastry, supported by a syrupy sweetness that carries beautifully through milk while remaining satisfying as a straight espresso or Americano.

While Batavia rarely finds its way onto our retail shelves, it has quietly become a favourite behind many café counters. It is the blend our wholesale partners return for, year after year.
